Tasman Lookout Track – about 40 minutes from the car park at the southern end of the famous Piha beach. It’s a steep climb but you end up at the top with the magnificent views of the Lion Rock. We had morning tea at the top and we stayed awhile until it started raining. We headed back to the camp and postponed our sandart and beachside activities.
Clouds started to clear up after lunch. Kids enjoyed some FREE time to practise their pieces for the upcoming concert night.
These kids love One Direction...boys and girls alike!!!! You don't know, you're beautiful!!!!!
NEWS FLASH: Tug o' war - Adults plus NZ Airforce lost the battle Vs 42 kids!!!! Kids Vs Kids? Uncle Ian's group won!!!! Kids Vs Adults? Kids won!!!! WHATTTT????? So the adults decided to get the big guys ---- the NZ Airforce (who happened to be in the area). Guess what? We still lost the war against the kids!!!! Watch the video taken by Aunty Donna for more "tug o' war losing action".
Mr and Mrs Mulcahy visited the campers. They joined us for a game of indoor hockey and stayed till just after dinner. Hugo and some other OneDirectioners showed off some "very" hidden talents - a taste of what's coming up for the Thursday concert night.
The kids just couldn't get enough of the waterhole!!!! More dam and bridge building at the other end of the stream.
Main: Honey Soy Chicken with Rice Pilaf Dessert: Apple Crumble with Whipped Cream Chef Ryan is definitely one fo the BEST Chefs in NZ!!!
Fabric fun!!! Camp designs were drawn on their light-coloured t-shirts using fabric pastels. Mrs V made one too and to set the colours in, the shirt had to be ironed. The Aunties did the ironing. Mrs V's design has an interesting story behind it. Browse the Kitekite falls gallery and see if you can tell why the design showed Mr Anderson's hand. :P
